Vegan Garlic Chive Pancakes

These Easy Vegan Garlic Chive Pancakes are savory, crispy, and full of bold flavor. Made with almond or spelt flour, fresh herbs, and garlic, they’re a perfect plant-based snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 Tsp Salt

  2. 1/2 Cup Garlic Chives

  3. 1/4 Cup Green Onion

  4. 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

  5. 2 Garlic Cloves

  6. 1 Cup Almond or Spelt Flour

  7. 1/4 Tsp Pepper

  8. 1 Cup Water

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, plant-based milk, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and smooth.

  2. Add the chopped garlic, chives, and green onions to the batter. Mix well.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

  4. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet and spread it into a thin pancake shape.

  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

  6. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.

  7. Remove the pancake from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.

  8. Serve the garlic chive pancakes hot with your cashew sauce or peanut sauce (see recipe).
